The Wedi Fundo Riolito Neo Shower Bases with Click and Seal Linear Drain Unit feature the only fully sealed and factory-integrated waterproof drain assembly.

Wedi Fundo Riolito Shower Bases feature a level shower base perimeter provided by a 4-way slope. These models provide for a perfect installation when recessing the base into a subfloor where a flush to the floor entry is required. These ready-to-tile floor units are simple to install, even when incorporating small mosaic tiles.

Wedi Fundo Riolito Shower Pans have a heavy-duty point load capability, a coating that allows for it, and a ready-made slope for a perfect tile setting. These shower base kits are designed to be used in conjunction with Wedi building panels on the shower walls.

Some great advantages Wedi Fundo Shower Pans offer over traditional installation methods: no more pre-sloping baseliners, mud beds, waterproofing membranes, and the weep hole drain. Fundo Pans also eliminate the risks related to conventional installations such as baseliner cracks, clogged weep holes, and mold growth in mud beds. These prefabricated shower bases reduce installation time from 2-3 days to as little as 30 minutes! Wedi shower substrate installations are ready to tile the same day.

Note: The Wedi Fundo Click and Seal Height Adjustment Kit sold separately. The Drain Cover Exention only works for Wedi’s finished surface drain covers, but not with Wedi’s tileable covers due to their special water drainage design.

Here is how you select the right shower base size to fit the job in most cases:

Determine the distance between the center of the 2-inch pipe in the subfloor to all framed walls and where you plan to have the inside of a Wedi Curb (as if it were another framed wall). Next, take note of the longest dimension of the two distances measured along each axis (east/west and north/south.)

You will need to select a shower base that covers twice the length of the longest dimensions along each axis. This will ensure that the shower base will cover the entire shower area and, if needed, can be trimmed on-site to position the integrated wedi drain over the 2-inch waste pipe in the subfloor.

This method of calculating the correct shower base works for square and rectangular spaces with a mostly centered drain location. Where drains are very close to a wall, one of our off-center drain bases should be used if possible. Refer to the Wedi Technical Drawings section to select the correct base that covers your shower dimensions, and will properly align the integrated Wedi drain with the floor drain pipe.

I've demo'd the old shower and walls, the drain pipe is in dirt, rest concrete slab. Should I concrete to the drain pipe prior to a wedi install?

We spoke to our Wedi Rep, and the answer is Yes and no. You need to leave a 6 .in diameter space to accommodate the drain. If you buy the Pan in advance it comes with the drain assembly and a template. You can install prior to cementing, just make sure to wrap the drain in foam to create a gap between the drain and the concrete.

Can I cut this shower pan to accomodate a smaller space (30 .inx64 .in)?

Yes the drain is 43-5/16 .in wide on the 36 .in x 60 .in so plenty of room to cut to size. Make sure to cut evenly from each side to keep proportions and drain aligned.

Does it include the required drain kit - as depicted in the diagram - needed to connect it to a 2 .in drain line or just the integrated drain channel?

The kit includes everything you need to hook up to a 2 .in drain except the glue. It does not include the drain channel cover, as those are purchased separately.

What is the height of the shower walls? Plan calls for 42 .inx46 .in with 8' tall walls.

The kit comes with enough wedi board for up to three 80 inch walls, or about 6' 6 .in.

Is it possible to extend the fundo 48 X 60 with the 24 X 48 extension kit. Will the slope be maintained or would I need to raise the extension base?

Yes, the wedi shower base extensions work with both the wedi fundo riolito and fundo primo shower bases and extend the slope so no build up is needed. The 24” x 48” extension is sloped 1/4” / ft along the 24” length.

I need a 42 .inx72 .in shower pan with either off-set 4-way drain or linear drain on short side. What would I need? What would you use for a 42 .inx72 .in

For a 42 .in x 72 .in Pan with the drain on the short side I would use the 48 .in x 24 .in wedi base extension (73783528) with the 48 .in x 60 .in x 2-1/2 .in wedi fundo riolito shower base (07510012). you will need to cut the 24 .in side to 12 .in on the extension to get your 72 .in and the installation height on the extension must be increased because the connected shower base is thicker than 1.5 .in at perimeter.

Is there a wall and floor profile pieces to match this Wedi Fundo Riolito Neo base? Would they be the same as ones for the Fundo Riolito base?

We aren't entirely sure what sort of profile you are requesting information on. Can you please elaborate?

Will this work for a shower on a concrete slab or is it only for showers with a sub floor?

Yes these will work on concrete, check thickness of tile floor for a flush finish to your installation. you may need to build up tile to get a flush finish.

What are the dimensions of the drain unit assembly (part 077000040) itself? I do not see a technical drawing for this online. Thanks

Does the Wedi Fundo Riolito only one come with the drain running the length ? I’m interested in the 60 x 36 inch model only if I can get the drain running the the width ( 36 inch ). It doesn’t have to be a linear drain either. It can be a right handed drain with a hole.

In the Fundo Riolito, to get to 36" x 60" with the drain on the 36" side, you would have to purchase the 48" x 60" and cut it down to 36". You could also get the Fundo Primo Base with offset drain (36" x 72") and cut that down, but the Primo Pans are thicker (2" at edge).

Will the drain assembly work for a no tile installation? The floors will be continued through the entire bathroom including the shower pan with Tadelakt Moroccan plaster which will be approximately 1/4" thick finished.
