Universal Solvent-Free Seam Sealer is a latex based, non-flammable, carpet seam sealer specially formulated to prevent edge raveling and to seal the seams of most commercial and outdoor carpets including vinyl backs in direct glue down, stretch-in, and double glue down installations.
It is compatible with most carpet backings ActionBac, jute, latex unitary, wovens, rubber backed, urethane (attached cushion).
Note: Not for use with vinyl sheet goods.

Installation:
When using the hot melt method of seam preparation, proper application of this product should be limited to just the backing edge and base of carpet nap. After the proper amount of Tec Universal Seam Sealer has been put along either edge of the carpet, it must be rubbed into the edge. Be careful not to transfer adhesive onto the top of the carpet nap. Allow to completely dry prior to constructing a hot melt seam.
When using direct glue down or double bond methods of seam preparation - Apply a 1/8" bead with the applicator tip positioned at the carpets primary backing and the base of the carpet nap. Immediately butt to the opposite cut edge. Avoid adhesive contact with the top of the carpet nap.
