Can Ardex 8+9 be painted over with latex paint? It’s on cement block basement foundation walls?
Had to double check with our Ardex rep and re said that "ARDEX 8+9 is a top-side waterproofing membrane and intended to be covered with tile. And ARDEX has no testing data to support the finish you have described." If you need assistance with a project we may have some alternate suggestions, give us a call (800) 938-7925
Can you apply 8+9 over drywall for a shower
Yes, this from the Ardex Technical Data Sheet, available on our product page at the bottom of the description. " On interior applications, ARDEX 8+9 can be used over concrete and masonry finishes, existing tile, drywall, cementitious backer boards and plywood on all interior floors or walls prior to the installation of tile and stone."
